Westport Car Dealership Messes With Pizza Delivery Guy, Feels Internet’s Wrath

A video of car dealership employees in Westport getting into a heated argument with a local pizza delivery man over $7 has led to Internet anger and a personal apology.

The video, posted on Liveleak, begins with a delivery man returning $7 in cash to the dealership that he had thought was a tip. By the end of the video, one dealership worker threatens to put my foot in your ass and another says he will call the delivery man s manager and get him fired.

The delivery man in the video is an employee at Palace Pizza named Jarrid Tansey, according to two employees there. Lianette Hernandez, a cook and cashier, and Adam Willoughby, a manager, confirmed the video came from an interaction at the nearby dealership F R Auto Sales on Saturday.

The total bill for the pizza and drinks was just over $42, Hernandez said, and dealership workers gave Tansey $50 in two twenties and two fives. In the video, Tansey says he confirmed that they wanted to give the whole $50, and then left with what he assumed was a $7-and-change tip.

However, the dealership then called the pizza place back and forced him to return the $7-and-change, and he was left without a tip, leading to the heated conversation on video.

It just doesn t make sense why you d hand me a bill that you were just gonna have me drive back here to give you back anyway, Tansey says in the video. I m not mad, I just had to waste my resources coming back here.

But the office-workers are adamant about their position in the video.

So listen: The manager apologized once for you. Do you want him to apologize again for you? the worker in blue says.

Out the door before I put my foot in your ass, a female office-worker in green says.

Get the f—ing owner and the manager on the phone, I want that mother-f—er done, another man in the office says after Tansey leaves. I want him fired.

The video was originally posted on YouTube, but it has since been made private. However, a Google index of the video shows the title as originally being irate pizza driver. The angle of the video suggests it comes from a stationary security camera inside the dealership s office.

Willoughby, who was working that night, said he got a call from F R Auto Sales saying that Tansey had verbally berated them. He said they took the call seriously at first and asked Tansey about the interaction. After Tansey explained what had happened, managers decided not to discipline the driver.

This isn t the first time we have had problems with F R Auto, Willoughby said.

All the time, there s always a problem, always an issue, Hernandez said. We ve been going back and forth with them for a long time.

Palace Pizza has been getting supportive calls all day from across the country, and several people have pledged to raise or donate money for Tansey.

In addition, the owner of the dealership and his son came by to apologize to Palace Pizza in person on Wednesday.

I was the manager on that night, and today they came and spoke to me, profusely apologized, Willoughby said. We both want to make things right between us. We don t want any bad blood.

Commenters who claim to have seen the YouTube video before it was made private identify the dealership as F R Auto Sales in Westport. Review pages of that dealership on Yelp and Google were being flooded with negative ratings on Wednesday. In addition, the dealership s website struggled to load.

Calls to the dealership through their main phone line did not go through. Messages left through the site s Google Connect link, Facebook account, listed email, and on Twitter were not immediately returned.

Even though Eddie s estimate came in a bit higher than the other contractors, but we were impressed by his knowledge and the repair method he suggested. The work started not long after the contract was signed, and it took about a week to complete the whole thing. Once the job was done, we were blown away by the results. Not only were the problems (cracks, sticking doors, etc. ) resolved as promised, his crew also did such a great job cleaning up that I couldn t tell that they had been here before. On a last note, Mr. Eddie was the only contractor that we spoke to who wasn t willing to reduce the suggested piers just to sell the job. He said to fix my foundation issue, the number of suggested piers are needed, even though keeping the same number of piers will make his bid less competitive. We found that admirable. All in all it s been a great experience dealing with North Dallas Foundation Repair Mr. Eddie.

I co-lo my server in their facility and have been extremely happy with the service. Their cabinets are located in a very nice Level 3 facility near I45 Beltway 8. It s always nice to have a place local so you have easy access to your server in case of repairs or upgrades. They offer a wide range of services, colo, dedicated, and cloud hosting. Prices are very competitive, but again being local is always a plus. When you call it s nice to talk to one of a handful of people, all of which know what they are doing. They also have DSL service, which I was extremely happy with. Unfortunately with the times I needed something with more speed than DSL offered so I ended up switching to one of the big carriers. I know several other people that co-lo their equipment with Optimal Link and they too have been extremely happy with the service and prices.

Great company to do colocation with. I previously had a terrifying experience with Incero, resulting in the disposal of my server. At first, I really didn t want to colocate anymore. I didn t want that same experience happening all over again. However I took a good look at Oplink, read all the positive reviews about them, and decided to colocate with them. Not only are they cheap, their network is amazing. You can t get 1Gbps/30TB Bandwidth with ANY OTHER provider. This is amazing. Their support is always on point, willing to help me setup things for me, and didn t even charge me a single penny. Support always responds quick. I was mowing my grass one day last week when two men pulled up in a truck pulling a wood chipper. They asked me to stop mowing so they could give me a sales pitch and estimate to have my trees trimmed. They specifically wanted to trim my 20 some odd crepe myrtles which are NOT to be trimmed until spring. I listened but was not interested in getting my trees trimmed that day since it was only about an hour before sundown. I asked them to return the next day to do the job. The man who seemed to be in charge, insisted that I let him trim my trees right then because he couldn t come back the next day as he had a big job on a nearby street. Regrettably, I gave in and let them start trimming. We settled on $500 for the completed job. As darkness approached, the lead man was steadily on his cell phone which was annoying to me. Then he asked if he could go inside my house to pee. I don t usually allow that but I accompanied him inside my house to make sure he found his way to the bathroom and back outside. Meanwhile, the second man in the tree trimming team was supposed to be gathering the cut branches and taking them to street to be put into the chipper. When we all returned to the yard, I noticed there were many remaining tree branches that the second man had neglected to take to the chipper so I picked them up and took them to the street. Then suddenly, the lead tree trimmer told me he had to leave because his wife was having a baby. I felt sorry for him and paid him the $500 with his promise to return the next evening after his big job on a nearby street. He left a HUGE mess in the street in front of my house which I cleaned in the dark. He did not return the next day. I called him and he promised to return the following morning to finish the job. He did not return and the job is not finished. I have since called him twice and left voice mail with no call backs. The lead tree man asked me to write the $500 check to Wayne Testerman instead of the company name on the business card. The check was cashed the morning after I wrote it. DO NOT let these people on your property. They do a horrible job and leave a huge mess. Horrible experience with this company! Never in my Life have I ever dealt with mind numbing slow and unprofessional group of people. Valerie Pace was my representative and she honestly has no idea what customer service is! She never returned my calls and even threatened me over the phone! I was rear-ended while waiting at a red light in a new car–off the lot less than two weeks prior– by someone with Hallmark Insurance. It took too many weeks and too many calls (mostly ignored) to resolve the situation. Our insurance claim eventually became a joke with my family and friends (i.e. Maybe they re taking all of this time to print up a special Hallmark Sympathy card line, such as: I m so sorry you were rear-ended in your almost-new car by one of our most valuable customers while he was eating a burrito while driving. We are especially saddened in hearing that his bright yellow shirt was ruined by the burrito he was unable to finish due to the fact that your new car was rear-ended!

DO NOT BUY CAR INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY! My car was rear ended by a driver with this insurance carrier and they are trying to get out of paying my bills. They are refusing to pay for damage to my car, and also medical bills. I was seen in the ER for severe neck and back pain. The pain in my neck radiates down my arm and my pinky finger is numb so the Doctor ordered a MRI. When I told the Hallmark insurance adjuster, named Al Tanner, he started threatening me. He claimed that they have a team of lawyers that fight medical claims, so he said that I am going to be stuck with all the medical bills if I get the medical treatment ordered for me. I never would have thought that an insurance company, or adjuster( Al Tanner ) could be so cruel. I didn t ask to be hit by their policy holder, but I m the one sitting at home in pain, and without a car. They also refused to pay for a rental car for me. I guess they are hoping that if I don t have a car, then I can t go to any Doctor appointments. I was hoping that they would take responsibility, and pay for my car, and medical bills. I didn t want to hire an attorney, but they are forcing me to, otherwise I will be left paying thousands of dollars out of pocket for an irresponsible driver smashing into me. Either way, fighting with an insurance company, and dealing with threatening adjusters, is the last thing you feel like dealing with when you are in severe pain. I wouldn t wish Hallmark Insurance on my worst enemy. I don t know how Hallmark Insurance employees can sleep at night. Everyone that I have talked to so far has been heartless and evil, even the Manger named Myrna. I would like to give the Hallmark Insurance the benefit of doubt, and hope that the company owners have no idea how terrible people are being treated, so that is why I am including details in this review. Whatever you do, do not purchase this insurance, and try not to get in an accident with anyone who has it. Hallmark Insurance will make your life a nightmare!

Horrible experience with this company! Never in my Life have I ever dealt with mind numbing slow and unprofessional group of people. Valerie Pace was my representative and she honestly has no idea what customer service is! She never returned my calls and even threatened me over the phone! Unbelievable
It took this company 3 months to figure out that my vehicle was a total loss and as of now they have not paid my settlement. Furthermore I will continue to call them until I have resolution. This review is for anyone out there thinking of getting or dealing with this insurance company. Run and run far from them! (This is not my insurance company this is the insurance company that the guy who hit me has)

I was rear-ended while waiting at a red light in a new car–off the lot less than two weeks prior– by someone with Hallmark Insurance. It took too many weeks and too many calls (mostly ignored) to resolve the situation. Our insurance claim eventually became a joke with my family and friends (i.e. Maybe they re taking all of this time to print up a special Hallmark Sympathy card line, such as: I m so sorry you were rear-ended in your almost-new car by one of our most valuable customers while he was eating a burrito while driving.
