The upper back contains two segments of the backbone, known as the cervical and thoracic spine. Multiple nerves come out of the spine in the upper back and can become compressed or pinched. A slipped disc or pressure from nearby muscles and tendons can compress nerves. Poor posture, arthritis, injury or stress from repetitive motions can lead to compression from muscles or tendons or contribute to a slipped disc. Compressed nerves can produce a variety of symptoms, which typically warrant a thorough evaluation and treatment.

Back Pain

Pain is one of the most common symptoms of a pinched nerve in the upper back. In some cases the pain is felt in the neck or upper back where the nerve is pinched. However, because the nerves that emerge from the spinal cord in the upper back travel to other locations, pain can be felt elsewhere. Compression of nerves in the cervical spine can cause pain in the arms along the nerve’s path. Nerve compression in the thoracic spine can also cause pain in the arms, as well as the back and trunk. In some cases this pain gets worse with head movement.

Tingling and Numbness

Many of the nerves in the upper back carry sensory information from the rest of the body back to the brain. Pinching of these nerves can lead to numbness and tingling. Numbness and tingling from a pinched nerve in the upper back can occur along the back or in the arms, neck and chest. Often pain and numbness or tingling will occur simultaneously, but these symptoms can occur separately.

Muscle Abnormalities

If a pinched nerve in the upper back contains nerves that send signals to muscles, the muscles themselves may be affected. Depending on the severity of the compression, the muscles may be weakened or completely paralyzed. Over time, muscles weakened by a pinched nerve may shrink. In some cases, the muscle weakness progresses over time. As a result, if you have a pinched nerve in your upper back, you could have problems holding onto objects or raising your arms over your head due to muscle weakness.

Loss of Bowel and Bladder Control

Bowel or bladder problems are potentially dangerous complications of a pinched nerve in the back. This occurs when the condition pinching the nerve also presses on the spinal cord, causing a loss of signals from the nervous system to the bladder and bowel. This can cause an inability to control bowel movements and urination. These situations require prompt medical evaluation. Surgery is typically needed to relieve the pressure on the spinal cord and nerve tissue.

Easy Oven Baked Beef Ribs

Easy oven baked BBQ beef ribs that are well-seasoned to the bone, slow baked, tender, juicy and fall off the bone perfection!

For some reason, it never fails that my sister and I get stuck making the beef ribs for family functions. Maybe it s because we make really great oven baked beef ribs but truth be told we have no clue what we re really doing and our oven baked ribs are, use to be, really hit or miss.

Here is how the conversation usually went. My sister calls me up-

Sister: Mama wants you to make beef ribs for .

Me: No she didn t, you know good and well she asked you to make them.

Sister: Yes, but I don t want to. So I ll buy them and let you make them ok.

Me: Umm…no ma am! Sister: Ok I ll drop them off.

Me: Shon don t bring them ribs over here. I m not even at home. (total lie)

Sister: Ok then I ll just leave them by the door m-kay. Byeee. Thanks boo. (and she hangs up before I have a chance to respond)

That girl gets on my nerve sometimes. LOL Gotta love her. I think we use to hate making the beef ribs because we really didn t have a tried and true recipe to work off of. Yes, I have another oven baked beef rib recipe on my site but I grew tired of that one. It was a little too saucy and time consuming. Not to mention, it wasn t doing the best job at making my husband do the air booty slap dance after he ate them. Which is what he does when I make something amazing.

I wanted an oven baked beef rib recipe that was simple, easy and made the best beef ribs all the time. Well I decided to do what any girl does when she needs a tried and true recipe to wow em, I called grandma. Ms. Barbara never disappoints honey. She made my hubby and I some oven baked BBQ beef ribs when we went to visit (yes she cooks a full spread for ANYBODY who tells her they are coming over. Like seriously. She is insanely sweet like that.) and he raved about how good they were. I love when my food makes my man happy so I was determined to recreate my grandma s ribs for him.

Well guess what happened? My husband liked this oven baked BBQ rib recipe better than Grandma Barbs. The only thing I did differently was add more spices to the rib spice rub recipe. I think this kicked up the taste of BBQ sauce and even helped to tenderize them a little more.

Now I ONLY make this oven beef rib recipe and after you try it, you may never make it any other way either. Hubby says I m not allowed to experiment with other recipes because these beef ribs took him on a journey somewhere and he couldn t stop eating them. He seriously almost ate the entire pan.I won t lie, they are amazing! Juicy, fall off the bone tender, well- seasoned, perfectly saucy and sticky! Everything I look for in a good oven baked BBQ beef rib.

Ok enough blabbering about these doggone beef ribs. Go make them for your man. For your wife. For yourself. For your kids. Somebody! Just make them. And devour them one by one until you push back from the table totally stuffed. I may or may not have done that. I served these oven baked BBQ beef ribs with sweet corn, steamed broccoli. garlic Texas toast and cinnamon mashed sweet potatoes…and of course sweet ice tea!

To confirm a clients commitment to ship with us, we normally require a credit card deposit of approximatly 20% of the total quoted price. We are also able to bill the entire order on your credit card so long as we charge your card prior to shipment. Some clients opt to pay the balance with cash at the time of pick up or delivery.a

Tips For Shipping A Motorcycle

Motorcycles usually require an enclosed transport truck and cost about the same to move as a car. Enclosed carriers have lift gates on the back of the trailer to ensure bikes don’t topple over during loading and unloading.

Oversize Vehicles

Large pickups and SUVS typically cost 50% more to move because they reduce the capacity of the carrier to handle more units on the same load. Please remove any accessories that are not integral to the vehicle.

How do I place an order?

You may contact our office either by submitting an online request form or by calling our friendly office staff at (520) 292-1600.

What happens after I place my order?

We schedule one of our trucks or a long-distance carrier and let you know a pick up and delivery date range. All vehicles are inspected before loading. A signed copy of this inspection report is left at the shipping location, and another copy is left at the point of delivery. Payment is usually made at your choice of the point of pick up or delivery. We usually require a small deposit on a credit card at the time the order is placed.

How long will it take?

Delivery times vary, but generally the vehicles we move on our trucks within the Southwest United States are delivered in fewer than seven days. Long-distance transports that are placed on brokered trucks may take a week or more. Several factors may affect transport times. Transport rates, specific locations, and distances are a few factors. Our drivers will attempt to make telephone contact with you prior to pick up and delivery to arrange and confirm appointment times. You may also call our office at any time if you would like to check on the status of your vehicle. We take great measures to meet our delivery times, however if there are any delays due to circumstances out of our control we will contact you.

How much will it cost?

Transport quotes are provided on an individual basis and vary. A few factors that go into the quote process are, location, size, fuel prices, and number of vehicles being transported. We feel that our quotes are honest, fair, and affordable. Your quote will include all costs associated with your transport.

Do you charge hidden fees?

We believe in open communication and responsible business practices, which means that we will never stick you with hidden fees or other unfair billing practices.

What happens if my car is damaged in transit?

We strive to take the best possible care of your car, but in the case of accidental damage, all claims are covered by our cargo insurance policy. Damage resulting from factors outside of the control of the transporter and not due to negligence, e.g. hail, road debris, is usually not covered on open carrier transport, and are very rare.

Can I ship personal items in my car?

No. Car carriers are not licensed or insured to cover loose items in the transported vehicles. Most carriers will usually allow a box or suitcase weighing under 100 pounds, however, will not accept financial responsibility for these items.

How do you choose a carrier for brokered vehicles?

We work in tandem with other transport companies through an auto transport exchange network that provides nation-wide coverage. Our peer reviews in relation to our dependability, timeliness, safety, and other similar business practices have consistently held an excellent rating of over 98% for years. Since we hold ourselves to such strict quality standards, we work exclusively with experienced carriers that also maintain excellent service ratings.

Should I ship in an enclosed or open carrier?

In most cases, an open carrier is the most cost effective solution for your vehicle. however if you are shipping a vehicle that is exceptionally valuable, frail, or a show covered transport may be the best option. Covered transport rates are typically 30% – 50% higher than standard open transports.

What are my payment options?

When seeking help over the Internet, the IRS cautions taxpayers to make sure to go to the authentic IRS Web site by typing into their browser. The official Web site does not end in .com. net. org or any other designation. Click on “Español” for content in Spanish.

Taxpayers should check out 1040 Central for all the latest updates and information needed to prepare and file their 2008 returns. Taxpayers can readily access forms and instructions from this section of the Web site.

In the Online Services section, taxpayers can access numerous applications to help with their taxes, including:

Online Payment Agreement. which is for taxpayers who cannot pay their tax completely by April 15.

Taxpayers may also check their 2008 refund online using Where’s My Refund? 72 hours after IRS acknowledges receipt of an e-filed return or three to four weeks after a return is mailed. Taxpayers will need to enter a Social Security number (or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number), filing status (such as single or married filing jointly) and the exact whole dollar amount of the refund shown on their 2008 tax return. In addition to the status of their refund payment, they will receive instructions to resolve refund-related problems. The Where’s My Refund? tool is available in English and Spanish.

Taxpayers will have two tools to help them determine if they are eligible for a recovery rebate credit. Most people already received this benefit in 2008 in the form of the economic stimulus payment. However, if certain conditions changed for taxpayers in 2008, they may be eligible for an additional one-time benefit. Taxpayers can use the online tools How Much Was My 2008 Stimulus Payment? and the Recovery Rebate Calculator.

Taxpayers may also order current and prior year tax forms, instructions and publications by calling 1-800-TAX-FORM (1-800-829-3676). Taxpayers may ask tax questions by calling the toll-free customer service line at 1-800-829-1040 for individual tax issues or 1-800-829-4933 for business-related tax issues. TTY/TDD users may call 1-800-829-4059 to ask tax questions or to order forms and publications.

Taxpayers can also listen to information with little or no waiting by calling TeleTax toll-free at 1-800-829-4477 to hear pre-recorded messages in English or Spanish covering various tax topics or to check on the status of a refund. TeleTax topics, which range from “IRS Assistance” to “Who Must File,” are listed on pages 84 and 85 of the Form 1040 Instructions booklet. In January, they will also be able to access How Much Was My 2008 Stimulus Payment? by calling the Rebate Hotline at 1-866-234-2942.

In-Person Assistance with Returns

Free tax preparation is available through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) sites in many communities. Taxpayers should check community newspapers for VITA site locations or call 1-800-906-9887 for more information. Taxpayers may also call AARP — the largest TCE participant — at 1-888-227-7669 to find the most convenient location.

Taxpayer Assistance Centers

IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers are a source of personal tax help when taxpayers believe their tax issues cannot be handled on-line or by phone, and they want face-to-face assistance. IRS representatives in these offices can help with inquiries, adjustments, letters and notices and payment plans for those who owe tax and cannot pay the full amount. Locations are posted on under the “Individuals” tab. Just click the link Contact My Local Office or type “Contact My Local Office” in the search box on to find availability by state. Also, taxpayers can hear a recorded message detailing office hours and addresses by calling the number listed in their local phone directory.

The IRS provides non-English-speaking taxpayers equal access to all Taxpayer Assistance Centers.

Tax Forms and Publications Walk-In Service

Many post offices and libraries offer IRS tax publications, forms and instructions for pick up. Participation of post offices and libraries changes from year to year so taxpayers should check with their local community organization before making the trip. Electronic kiosks containing commonly-used forms (Form 1040 series) and tax information are available in some locations. All local IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers have tax publications, forms and instructions available to pick up.

Braille Tax Material

A variety of Braille materials may be ordered at no charge by calling the IRS at 1-800-TAX-FORM (1-800-829-3676). The Braille print files are in .brf format and can be sent directly to an embosser for high-quality Braille output. Braille materials are available at libraries that have special services for people with disabilities.

Taxpayer Advocate Service

The Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) is an independent organization within the IRS whose employees assist taxpayers who are experiencing economic harm, who are seeking help in resolving tax problems that have not been resolved through normal channels, or who believe that an IRS system or procedure is not working as it should. Taxpayers who believe they are eligible for TAS assistance can reach TAS by calling their toll-free case intake line at 1–877–777–4778 or TTY/TTD 1-800-829-4059.

Low Income Taxpayer Clinics (LITCs)

Low Income Taxpayer Clinics (LITCs) are independent organizations that provide low income taxpayers with representation in federal tax controversies with the IRS for free or for a nominal charge. The clinics also provide tax education and outreach for taxpayers with limited English proficiency or who speak English as a second language. IRS Publication 4134. What is a ‘Mortgage’

A mortgage is a debt instrument. secured by the collateral of specified real estate property, that the borrower is obliged to pay back with a predetermined set of payments. Mortgages are used by individuals and businesses to make large real estate purchases without paying the entire value of the purchase up front. Over a period of many years, the borrower repays the loan, plus interest, until he/she eventually owns the property free and clear. Mortgages are also known as “liens against property” or “claims on property.” If the borrower stops paying the mortgage. the bank can foreclose.

In a residential mortgage, a home buyer pledges his or her house to the bank. The bank has a claim on the house should the home buyer default on paying the mortgage. In the case of a foreclosure. the bank may evict the home’s tenants and sell the house, using the income from the sale to clear the mortgage debt.

Mortgages come in many forms. With a fixed-rate mortgage, the borrower pays the same interest rate for the life of the loan. Her monthly principal and interest payment never change from the first mortgage payment to the last. Most fixed-rate mortgages have a 15- or 30-year term. If market interest rates rise, the borrower’s payment does not change. If market interest rates drop significantly, the borrower may be able to secure that lower rate by refinancing the mortgage. A fixed-rate mortgage is also called a “traditional” mortgage.

With an adjustable-rate mortgage (ARM), the interest rate is fixed for an initial term, but then it fluctuates with market interest rates. The initial interest rate is often a below-market rate, which can make a mortgage seem more affordable than it really is. If interest rates increase later, the borrower may not be able to afford the higher monthly payments. Interest rates could also decrease, making an ARM less expensive. In either case, the monthly payments are unpredictable after the initial term.

Other less common types of mortgages, such as interest-only mortgages and payment-option ARMs, are best used by sophisticated borrowers. Many homeowners got into financial trouble with these types of mortgages during the housing bubble years.

The New Jersey Division of Taxation is taking a number of steps to help financially distressed taxpayers meet their tax obligations. The Division wants to be certain that struggling taxpayers are aware of the available options.

If You or Your Business Owe Taxes

With many individuals and businesses facing financial difficulties, the Division is ready to help those who owe back taxes. We recognize that we must balance our responsibility to enforce the tax laws with the economic realities and hardships facing New Jersey businesses and individuals.

Division employees have flexibility to work with struggling taxpayers to assist them with their particular situations. Depending on the circumstances, taxpayers may be able to establish a payment plan for back taxes, adjust the payment terms and avoid defaulting on an existing payment agreement, or qualify for waiver of penalties. Taxpayers who are behind on their tax payments and need assistance should contact the phone number listed on the bill or correspondence they received from the Division. There could be additional help available if they are facing unusual hardship situations.

Areas Where the Division can Provide Assistance

  • Installment Payment Plans: Individuals and businesses experiencing financial difficulty may initiate the process of establishing payment arrangements for back taxes by reviewing the Deferred (Installment) Payment Request Guidelines and submitting the Deferred Payment Request Form available on the Division s Web site. Taxpayers may also contact us at (609) 292-6400 if they have questions.
  • Added Flexibility for Missed Installment Payments: The Division is allowing more flexibility for previously compliant individuals or businesses with existing Installment Payment Agreements. Taxpayers in a difficult financial situation should contact their assigned representative at the phone number shown on the installment proposal to discuss their circumstances.
  • Additional Review of Home Values: Certain Division programs require financial disclosure by the taxpayer. The equity taxpayers have in real property can be a barrier to an offer being accepted. With the uncertainty in the housing market, we recognize that the real estate valuations used to assess ability to pay may not be accurate. So in instances where the accuracy of local real estate valuations is in question or other unusual hardships exist, upon request, the Division will perform a second review of the real estate equity information to determine if accepting the offer is appropriate.
  • Expedited Levy Releases: Upon receipt of documentation supporting hardship reasons, the Division will speed the delivery of levy releases to the financial institution. Taxpayers seeking an expedited release for levies should contact their assigned representative at the phone number shown on the notice of levy to discuss available options.
  • Federal Treasury Offset Program (TOP) The TOP program is based on a reciprocal agreement between New Jersey and the Federal government (FMS). FMS and New Jersey match debts (both tax and non-tax) against payments due to contract vendors. Ninety (90) days after the taxpayer is billed by Taxation, a Notice of Federal Set-Off is issued to the taxpayer providing an additional 60 days to resolve the debt and prevent an offset. Currently the federal government imposes a $15 processing fee per transaction that is deducted from the refund amount.
  • State Reciprocal Set-Off We currently have reciprocal agreements with the States of Maryland, New York and Connecticut whereby individual income tax refunds are set-off and sent to the state with an outstanding income tax liability for the taxpayer.
  • Release or Subordination of Tax Lien for Refinance or Foreclosure of Real Estate: Upon receipt of documentation supporting hardship reasons, the Division will speed the delivery of a Release of Lien or a Subordination of Lien.
