Latest Car Loan Rates in CA:

Car Loan Rates – Tips for Obtaining the Lowest Rates!

As someone shopping online for car loan rates, there are a few different things you can do to help you get the best rates possible for your financing. After all, the lower the interest rate you are able to obtain, the less additional money you will be required to pay over the length of the term. Here are some ideas for helping you obtain the best interest rate possible.

High Credit Score

The first is to have a high credit score. Having a high credit score can help you in many different facets of your life, particularly where taking out a loan is concerned. You can increase your credit score before applying for car loan rates by making sure you pay your credit card and other bills on time. Late payments, or worse, defaulting on any loan, will cause your credit score to plummet. Do a credit check on yourself and if it is lower than 600, see what changes you can make to boost it before you try to finance a car purchase.

Research your options

The next tip to lower car loan rates is to study your options. Request quotes from a few different loan providers to get an idea of what you can qualify for with your current credit score. Side by side comparisons are very useful. The speed at which you can obtain your loan is very important as well. Not only do you want to get behind the wheel of your new car as quickly as possible, the dealership may have put a time limit on your situation forcing you to act fast. If you cannot obtain your loan quickly, you could be back at square one.

Large Down Payment

Take a look at your personal finances and see what you might be able to afford as a down payment. The more money you can offer up front, the more money you will save over the duration of the loan. For example, not only could you qualify for lower car loan rates if you put down 20% of the car’s cost, you will also have less money being financed. The money you put down on a car will not be subject to interest. As long as you qualify for a car loan, you will be able to compare various car loan rates and decide where to obtain car financing. If you are ready to climb behind the wheel of your newly-financed vehicle, these tips will help you get there.

Vehicle Leasing Pays

Ever considered vehicle leasing? In recent years car leasing and van leasing have become a preferred means of acquiring transport over owning one’s own car. The reason being is that leasing a car not only provides a tax incentive for businesses, but it also allows a vehicle’s projected depreciation to be managed over a fixed term.

On top of this, vehicle leasing also provides you with freedom from the negotiation of part-exchange prices and lets you regularly change your vehicle every time you take out a new car lease . whilst avoiding the maintenance costs associated with running an older vehicle. The way vehicle leasing works is that you pay an agreed sum of money by way of monthly installments over an agreed period (usually two to four years) for the vehicle leasing, but do not actually own the car or van. At the end of the term, you simply hand the vehicle back; take out a new car lease (usually on a new vehicle); or pay an agreed sum to purchase the vehicle you’ve been leasing.

Depending on the contract, you may need to put down a deposit at the start of the car lease or van leasing or make a lump sum payment at the end.

How often have you dashed out of the house in the morning, rushing to get the children to school and then make your own way to work? And your car won’t start! Imagine stepping into a new car and simply turning the key, enjoying a smooth and comfortable ride. But you can’t afford a new car, right? Car leases represent new car ownership without the financial strain!

The Leasing Option

At Lease4Less we will open up your world a little to considering leasing a car on a personal contract hire as a genuine alternative to car ownership.

Car leases are so beneficial because you have full use of a new vehicle for the agreed period of time set out in the leasing contract, at the end of this period you simply hand the vehicle back and negotiate a new car lease . Car leases allow you to upgrade your car every few years when you renew your contract hire .

We offer various leasing schemes at Lease4Less suitable for both business and private drivers. Leasing a car with your company car allowance could mean gaining the ability to choose a car you actually like, instead of simply taking what is on offer from your company, you may even benefit from paying lower tax because leased vehicles are not classed as a benefit in kind!

Maintenance packages can be worked into the plan with most car leases, another reason why leasing is so popular with both businesses and private individuals.

Contract Hire

Instead of purchasing fleet vehicles, many businesses see leasing a car as a cheaper and more prudent alternative. By dealing with Lease4less for your company car leases and van leasing requirements, you gain the advantage of our purchasing power, and benefit from our car and van leasing options.

With the contract hire method of leasing a car, a business pays a set monthly fee for the vehicles they have chosen, this provides a business with far greater control over their monthly outgoings. Because of the fixed and predictable monthly payment, many companies find that they are able to invest more money into inventory or marketing, whereby they would have previously needed to hold those funds in reserve. Leasing a car also has many more advantages over ownership for the vast majority of businesses.

In the case of contract hire vehicle leasing, we can also take care of maintenance. It makes good business sense to fund a fleet of vehicles through contact hire, and leasing a car can certainly remove the problems normally associated with company car ownership.

All vehicles can be hired on a long term contract hire basis. The rates of such car leases will be fixed for the time frame you choose.

Van Leasing

Running your own fleet of vans just invites problems like wear and tear on the fleet, clocking up mileage and the obvious service and repair costs. The simple answer is to take out a van leasing scheme with us. Our van leasing schemes run for anything from two to five years. We give you fixed terms at the start of your van leasing agreement.

Certain types of van leasing schemes allow the company the option of buying the vehicles at the end of the van leasing term. The company will agree to pay us a fixed monthly fee for the duration of the van leasing agreement.

Vehicle leasing makes a lot of sense. Not only do companies and private individuals gain access to cars way above their normal price range if they take advantage of car leases or a vehicle leasing contract, but with leasing a car, costs are also kept to a minimum on maintenance, repairs and the general wear of the vehicle.

At Lease4Less you will get a professional service during your entire affiliation with us, whether you’re looking for individual car leasing . van leasing . company fleet car leases, or any type of vehicle leasing.

Unless otherwise stated all car leasing and van leasing examples are based on an initial payment per vehicle, followed by 35 monthly payments. Mileage 10,000 per annum; non-maintained. All Business User rentals are plus VAT. All Personal User rentals include VAT. All offers are subject to status and a credit acceptance fee. If example refers to a Finance Lease, then a residual payment may be applicable (Please contact us for details). Car Leasing Special Offers

At Car4Leasing we take great pride in putting our Car Leasing Special Offers together, and where possible we pre-order cars to cater for demand of the most popular models. You will find some of our Specials are available from stock, whilst others may offer fantastic value for money but require a bit more time to get the vehicle. In some cases we may carry different variants of the cars advertised so feel free to ask for a quotation on an alternate model. Equally we can cater for diiferent payment profiles and have put only a selection of the profiles available with each quote.

In each case it may be worth asking our sales staff as they will be able to tell you approximate time frames for the vehicles we offer and if there is a limited number of vehicles or a time frame involved will be able to assist in this also.

We change these offers during the course of the month and try to include a wide range of personal and business leasing deals that may be of interest to you.

If you want to change the annual mileage allowance, add additional specification to the vehicle or add a maintenance package, simply complete a quote request or give us a call to discuss your needs, and we will try to put together the best leasing package to suit your needs.

Car Insurance Quote – Compare Free Auto Insurance Quotes Online #car #financing #calculator

#free car insurance quotes

What to Look for When You Compare Car Insurance Companies

When you compare auto insurance companies after obtaining free quotes, be sure to take note of several items that will help you obtain a better auto insurance rate quote. When requesting a quote, remember that the largest, most well known auto insurance companies won t necessarily give you with the cheapest automobile insurance quote or the best customer care if you are ever in an automobile accident or need to make an auto insurance claim. While you review and compare, please remember that there might be less well known companies that can offer top notch service and cheaper rates on your vehicle.

When you compare low cost quotes for your automobile, there are several factors you should look at while reviewing you quote. If you are deciding to buy between a couple different quotes offering different coverage options or premiums, researching the company may help you make your decision on which policy may be best for your circumstances. Here are a few tips to help you compare quotes and make buying an auto insurance policy from specific companies a little easier.

1. Research the auto insurance company after getting a rate quote. We work with many trusted companies, but you may consider checking with the state to determine if there might be any notable compaints against the company that might make you choose not to do business with them. You can do this by contacting your state s insurance department by phone or online.

2. Consider the company reputation and history while you compare each quote from the providers you talk to. Find out how long the company has been providing auto insurance rates in your state. Do they provide high quality customer care? Are their policies different than your existing coverage? Do they have any complaints with the Better Business Bureau?

3. Look at their process for filing auto insurance claims when you compare companies. Ask about the company process for filing a claim for an automobile accident and how long the process usually takes. If you are ever involved in a car accident, you’ll want to make sure the company handles the claim in a timely manner.

4. Ask friends, family and co-workers when shopping for a cheaper policy. Sometimes, the best way to find a reputable car insurance company is to ask the people you trust. Explain that you are looking for auto insurance quotes and you need recommendations on different companies. See how long they have been with their company, if they have gotten cheap quotes from other companies and if they have ever had to file a claim and how long it took. You could also talk to a mechanic at a trusted auto repair shop about policy suggestions as they may have ideas on which of their clients have had good and bad experiences.

5. Go with your gut feeling. When you compare and get rate quotes, go with the company that makes you feel most comfortable. Follow your instincts while getting a quote comparison. Was the agent or company representative able to answer all your coverage and policy questions? Did the agent treat you with courteous and respect? Were they honest about what coverage you needed and did not need or did they just try to sell you additional coverages you felt that you could do without?

Finding the Right Car Insurance Quote

When you are shopping to buy car insurance online, be sure to remember that the cheapest quote doesn t necessarily mean you will get the best value on your automotible coverage. The Insurance Information Institute recommends getting at least three car insurance quotes from three separate auto insurers. When you have the rate quotes, look beyond the dollar amount to what the vehicle coverage actually covers. Be aware of the several other factors that could affect you if you are ever in an automobile accident or need to make a claim such as the type of coverage, the coverage amounts, deductibles, what is covered and more importantly, what is not covered in the ‘policy exclusions’ document.

When you compare quotes from multiple providers, consider what is covered in a policy and that you’re getting an apples to apples comparison. You might be surprised to find out the coverages quoted may be different depending on how many drivers are on the policy, whether you have home or renters insurance and even your zip code. When it comes down to reviewing and deciding to buy the most affordabe coverage from the best company, be sure to compare multiple providers so that you can find out which company actually offers the cheapest car insurance with coverage that meets your expectations.

Car insurance comparison: How it works

You may be leaving hundreds, even thousands, of dollars on the table if you don t regularly compare insurance companies and rates. Many factors affect your car insurance rates, and if any of them have changed you ve moved, bought a different car, had a ticket it s possible that the cheapest policy will come from a different insurer.

The younger you are, the more likely you are to save by making a car insurance comparison. On a full-coverage policy. a driver under age 25 saves more than $1,100 a year on average by shopping around, according to a study.

Top Quote Comparison Questions

Grab your current auto policy.

Your deductible and liability limits greatly affect your rates, and you can t make an accurate price comparison unless you get a quote for identical coverage, which is easier to do if you have your current policy on hand to refer to. Also, you may be asked who your current insurer is and the ending date of your current policy.

If you simply want to find the cheapest policy possible when comparison shopping, you would look for liability coverage only, and in the smallest amount your state will accept. (Legally required minimum liability coverage amounts vary from state to state.) Bear in mind that some states require so little coverage that an accident might leave any other assets you have, such as a home or savings, vulnerable to lawsuits.

If you ve moved or are a new driver, you can get an idea of what people in your area are paying by visiting s average car insurance rates tool and comparing rates by ZIP code.

Gather your facts.

Insurers will verify your personal data if you decide to buy a policy, but getting an accurate comparison-shopping quote means you should be as complete and thorough as possible. Omitting an accident or ticket as you shop doesn t mean the insurer won t find out, and it will make your quote much less reliable.

Here s what they ll ask about:

  • The dates and circumstances of any accidents or speeding tickets in the last five years. Narrow it down to the correct year; the age of an accident or citation matters.
  • You should have a general idea of your credit score and the number of miles you drive in a year.
  • You’ll also need to answer questions about your education, your job, your home and your marital status. Each of these is considered a risk factor and affects how much you pay.

If you are ready to buy you ll need:

  • The driver s license numbers for you and all other drivers listed on the policy.
  • The vehicle identification number (VIN) for all cars you want to insure.

Decide what coverage features you’re willing to change.

While you shop around for the price and insurance company that is right for you, you should know what coverages are right for you too. The three main types of car insurance you should understand are:

Before you sign, think.

When you re ready to buy, conduct some due diligence on the insurer who s offered you the lowest rate. Often more than 100 insurers do business in a state, but it s likely you ve heard of only a handful. That doesn t mean you shouldn t buy, but it does mean you should confirm the company s financial strength.

The stronger the insurance company, the more likely it is to be around to pay your claim in a timely manner and deal with any customer service issues that might arise.

Lastly, look for any pitfalls in the company s payment plans. Some add large fees for monthly payments or direct withdrawal from a checking account.

Car Insurance Calculator – Calculate Your Insurance Instantly! #used #cars #websites

#car insurance premium calculator

How your car insurance premium is calculated

There are a lot of factors which are involved when calculating your car insurance costs, our car insurance calculator can only make an estimate based on common criteria such as age, gender, location, etc. To get the most accurate estimate we recommend going right to the source and comparing insurance companies offerings. You can check out our easy to use auto insurance quotes tool to see what you can expect to pay. Looking for full coverage car insurance. Check out

Some of the criteria used to calculate the cost of car insurance:

Your age: Sorry to say, but young driver can expect to pay much more for insurance. Young drivers are more prone to accidents and reckless driving (Statistically speaking), therefore insurers require a substantially higher premium from people between the ages of 16 to 26. Your age is one of the biggest factors affecting the amount you pay for insurance, and unfortunately there is not much you can do about your age.

Gender: Men are going to pay more for auto insurance. Men are more likely to speed, drink and drive, drive recklessly and even less likely to wear a seat-belt. Just like your age, there s not much you can do about your gender, so unfortunately for all the responsible safe driving men out there you re paying extra because of a few bad apples.

Your Vehicle: The type of car you drive will affect your insurance premiums. Some of the factors which determine your insurance premium are:

Model of your car: Driving an SUV or truck will cost you more then driving a smaller model of car. Some car s are also more prone to theft in certain states/cities, if your car is on a insurance companies list of cars which has a low rate of theft you will pay less for insurance. Here s a list of the most stolen cars of 2012, as compiled by Forbes .

Engine Size: Cars with a bigger engines have more power. The more powerful your car the faster it is and the more likely you will be involved in accidents. This is why larger cars generally require larger insurance premiums, while smaller cars with less powerful engines will end up paying less.

Value of your car: The more expensive your car the more your car insurance premium will be. More expensive cars have higher costs of repair because there is less specialized repair shops, harder to acquire broken parts and because pricier car s generally have the two factors mentioned above against them ( More powerful engine, More likely to be stolen, etc)

Your location: If you live in an area with higher crime rates, expect to pay more for insurance. If you live in a city, expect to pay more then you would if you lived in a rural area. Living in the city drastically increases the chance of vehicle theft and accidents.

Your Driving record: If you have had a DUI, speeding tickets or been fined/convicted for reckless driving you can expect to pay more for insurance.

How to save money on car insurance

Now that you know how your car insurance is calculated lets see what you can do to reduce the cost as much as possible. Here s a few tips I recommend to everyone trying to lower their insurance cost, some of these tips might be applicable to you, some might not be.

1) Increase your risk, lower your insurers risk. If you have an inexpensive car and would rather pay for repairs out of pocket then dropping your collision insurance would be a smart thing to do. Collision insurance is unnecessary especially if your car is older or cheaper ( Under $5,000). If you have a new, or expensive car raising your deductible is one way to lower your insurance cost. By raising your deductible you increase your risk, but lower it for your insurer. In the long run a safe driver will save more money this way because they will pay less for insurance. Deductibles are usually set around $500-1000, by raising your deductible to $1000-2000 you can expect much cheaper insurance costs.

2) Ask for a discount. Many insurance companies have discounts available, even if they might not be openly advertised. If you don t drive often you might be able to qualify for a low-mileage discount. There are tons of discounts available, all you need to do is ask.

3) Bundle your insurance. Insuring your house, car, healthcare with one provider will lower you insurance premiums immensely. Not only does bundling your insurance lower the cost for you, it gives you more sway when asking for discounts/help from insurance companies since you are heavily invested with them.

4) Improve you driving. I m sure you a great driver, but insurance companies are untrustworthy fellows so we need to show them. One way to show your dedication and skill to safe driving is by taking a defensive driving course. Defensive driving courses are offered in many states and insurance companies are known to give discounts for participants, I recommend you call and ask the insurance company if they will offer you a discount ( some do, some don t). Taking a defensive driving course might cost you a few hundreds dollars, but it will save you much more money long term, plus you might learn a thing or two.

5) Shop around. There s lots of insurance companies, which means there is lot s a variety in the pricing and offerings. The more companies you compare the more likely you are to get more bang for you buck. Use our auto insurance quotes calculator and our insurance search above to compare dozens of insurance companies.

Car buying guide

Everything you need to know about buying new and used cars

We explain the laws governing car sales, tell you how to deal with a dealer and how to decide if a car is worth buying. Plus reliable makes, car reviews and more.

When to trade up

Are regular trade-ups the smart thing to do?

It used to be that regular trade-ups of relatively new cars were the smart way to keep yourself on the road without paying too much in maintenance. But our surveys show cars are lasting way longer than they used to before the big repair bills kick in. So when should you buy a new one? Here’s our advice.

Around a third of a new car’s value will vanish by the end of the third year.

Run your car for as long as possible

One of the biggest costs of owning a car is depreciation, and the best way to minimise the effect of this is simple: keep your car longer. Around a third of a new car’s value will vanish by the end of the third year, and half by 5 years. Thereafter, if it’s a good car and you look after it, the rate slows down: by 10 years it will still hold around 20 percent of its value.

If you buy a 5-year-old car and keep it for 5 years, you’ll lose a lot less than buying new. You might want to run it even longer. The extra costs of replacing worn items in a well-maintained old car should still be a lot less than the depreciation on a new or near-new car. Shop around to keep repair costs down.

Watch for rust

The big warning sign is rust. Once rust takes hold, the car loses value rapidly and it is expensive to repair. If your car has rust, it could be time to sell.

The good news, though, is that rust is not the problem it used to be. Remember all those rusted-out doors and station-wagon tailgates in the 1980s? You don’t often see them now, because factory rust-prevention treatments are so much better.

Don’t worry about the odometer

Don’t worry about the odometer racking up large numbers. Once it clicks over 100,000 kilometres the distance travelled has less effect on the value. We hear of lots of cars that are still reliable at well over 200,000 kilometres.

Should you buy a new car?

Cars depreciate most during their first few years. That makes buying a new car and selling it after a few years a very expensive exercise. But many new cars can be bought at good discounts from the listed price. If you haggle hard to get a good discount and keep the car for at least 10 years, you will have the pleasure of buying a new car and you can ensure it is serviced regularly – so it should be reliable. Car safety improvements in recent years also means you will have a safer vehicle.

If buying new is not for you, then find a good car that has got past the worst part of the depreciation. But remember every time a car is sold, dealers take a chunk of profit. You pay that. Look for.

  • 2-3-year-old cars. They may have the remainder of the factory 3-year warranty, and are not too far behind in safety features.
  • Slightly older models, including Japanese imports, can be bought with factory-backed warranties under schemes run by the major car importers. The factory checks the cars, fixes any problems and sells them through dealer-approved schemes.
  • If your budget won’t stretch that far, look for well-maintained models 6 or more years old, even with over 100,000km on the clock.

Buy a reliable model

Pick from the models we recommend for reliability. For full details, see our Car reliability report.

Car Guy Garage: Floor Mats #car #donation

Floor Mats

When parking your vehicle in a garage, no matter how hard you try, the tires will always bring something in with them and get the floor dirty. You can help keep your garage floors clean by putting down a garage mat to keep the mud and water off of the ground, making it easier to clean up.

There are four different styles of garage mats, each with a different thickness and style.

The first set of mats are gray and are 20 mil’s thick. That is about the same depth as a penny lying on the ground. This setup uses plastic clip on borders to keep the mat nice and flat, and allow a vehicle to drive onto the mat. With the mat being made out of heavy duty vinyl, it can hold all the mud and water, preventing it from touching the floor.

The second mat style is 50 mil’s thick. If you were to lay a nickle on the ground, that is about the same thickness. These mats use the same style of plastic clip on borders as the style above. The heavier duty vinyl and plastic borders allow any vehicle to be placed upon it, drip all the mud and water off. This mat is a bit thicker then the previous mat, giving it a firmer feel.

With the third option, you do not have the plastic clip on boarders. These mats are a one piece, roll out floor mat. The mat is 80 mil’s thick, so a bit more then a penny and a nickle stacked on top of each other. These mats are even UV resistant for use in outdoor situations. This is just like the others in the fact that they are resistant to chemicals, but not impervious. Mud and water will not harm this mat, but some acids and harsher chemicals can.

Garage mats aren’t necessarily a single sheet of vinyl, you can build your mat out of individual tiles. We carry a wide variety of garage tiles, from foam, to polypropylene and vinyl. This way you can design whatever you would like for underneath the vehicle. They are all chemical resistant and can take the abuse of a vehicle being driven on them daily. Most of them will keep the mud and water at the surface, off the floor of your garage, except for the ones with holes in them.

No matter what mat you get, the result will be the same, the mud and water tracked into the garage will stay off the floor, making sure that you garage floor stays cleaner for longer.

Auto Dealer Financing

Like many of us in this tight economy, the things that we would like to hold onto seem to be the first purse strings cut. As many local state governments start pinching for pennies, many tax rebates for hybrid.

The 2012 Detroit Auto Show is over, but if you missed your chance to see it live and catch all the soon to be new cars for sale in person there s still plenty of opportunity for you to see the.

Best Car Buying Practices

It’s time. You found a day that you’re free, made the arrangements, and taken that deep breath before you step out the door. But before you step out ask yourself one last time, are you ready to visit the used car dealership? Buying any car, even a used car, is a big deal so it helps to go in prepared. Here are some things you should consider before you leave. First, have you thought about what you need? Corvettes are nice, but not if you have a child seat. Vans are great for carrying people but do you just drive yourself? Focusing on what car is right from you can save you a lot of needless running around behind a salesman who’s eager to sell you anything.

Second, check and compare the MSRP. invoice prices, NADA or KBB used car guides to get an idea of what numbers you can expect to see. Knowing the range of the vehicle you’re interested in makes you more aware if the car your being shown is way over priced or if it’s questionably under priced and you need to ask more questions. Also check competing dealer prices, bringing in a competitors price can put a salesman in the difficult place of trying to one up his competition.

Third, check your credit score and get pre-approved. Not only does it speed things up for yourself, it will give you a good idea of what you can afford and what your options are. If your credit score is good, you could be more aggressive when negotiating the financing on your car. If your credit score is bad, it may mean you need to re-evaluate your options or consider a bad credit auto loan. Knowing these things ahead of time can save you time and avoid potential embarrassment.

So now you’re at the car lot and on to the next step. For starters, do not let the salesman play the shell game. Negotiate one point at a time, agree upon it, and move on to the next. We recommend starting with the price of the vehicle you are interested in. Don’t get distracted or let the salesman mix and match deals with your trade in, as what can seem like a good deal for one item is often masking the problem with the rest of the deal. And remember, MSRP is for “Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price”. They can suggest all they want but it doesn’t mean you should pay it.

After you set the agreed upon price of new vehicle, it is time to talk trade in if you have one. Do you know the value of your trade in? If not a little prior research here can go a long way and is recommended. Also a quick clean up can go a long way towards getting a good price on a trade in. Taking your car in looking like it’s been lived in won’t fetch you top dollar, so toss out that trash in the backseat so you can show off the cars true value. There is a lot of money in used cars; getting a good trade in price can save you as much as a good haggle on your new purchase.

Finally make sure all the prices are as you agreed to them before you sign. Check you’re financing numbers, does it look high? Banks often give car lots better rates than your average Joe, so if it looks to high it probably is. Financing can be just another way to milk you for more money on a car sale, see if they won’t match your pre-approved banks rate. If they won’t offer you the best deal, use a third party who can. And don’t be afraid to get up and leave or be pressured into a sale, you are in control and with the proper knowledge and best practices you can use that control for your own profit. Happy shopping!

What our customers say

Have just sold my vehicle to carbuyuk and wanted to put on record how professionally the sale was handled. I was contacted by Jeff who asked me various questions about the vehicle and a purchase price was agreed. He said he would send his driver Terry to collect the vehicle which he duly did. Terry phoned me half an hour before arriving, he checked the vehicle over, documents were signed and the money was transferred in to my account within 5 minutes. There was no trying to reduce the price down and everything went very smoothly. When dealing with CarBuyUK there are no additional charges. I would certainly recommend CarBuyUK. Both Jeff and Terry came over as honest and trustworthy people and provide an excellent service. It was a pleasure doing business with them and it makes such a difference dealing with professional people rather than time wasters who fail to turn up and those who make ridiculous low offers.

Very fast and friendly service, special thanks to Jeff who made the whole sale process easy. Would recommend to anyone. Many thanks, Paul.

Can You Lease a Used Car? Consumer Reports #car #auctions

#leasing cars

Learn about the risks before signing the lease

Used-car leasing is a small segment of the used-car market, but with modest payments and the ability to lease “certified” used cars, some people find leasing a used car appealing.

All the benefits of leasing, such as comparatively low payments and a hassle-free return at the end of the contract, apply to a used-car lease as they do to a new-car lease. And since most of a leased car’s monthly payment goes to anticipated depreciation, which is less severe as a car ages, monthly payments could be lower. The financial risk with a used-car lease, though, can be substantially greater.

Leasing risks. Foremost is the chance of service problems. Consumer Reports’ reliability data suggest that on average, a three-year-old car has more than twice as many problems as a one-year-old car does. Bear in mind that any repairs you must make that are not covered by a warranty come out of your pocket, even though you do not own the car. For that reason, it may be a good idea to purchase a comprehensive, bumper-to-bumper warranty for the full lease term.

Another risk with used-car leasing is that it’s difficult to predict what that car will be worth when it’s, say, five years old. There is a great deal of variation in the five-year-old market. But that knowledge is necessary because your monthly payments hinge on its supposed retained value. If the dealer sets it too low, your payments will be higher than they need to be. If he or she sets it too high, it gives him or her latitude to push up the car’s initial price while offering what seem to be acceptable monthly payments.

The best vehicles to lease, therefore, are those that hold their value very well. Those tend to be luxury cars, sports cars, and some SUVs. As a result, used-car leasing has become largely the province of luxury makes such as Audi, Lexus, and Mercedes-Benz.

Assuming a lease. It’s not only car dealers who handle leases. When a private party wants to get out of a lease early, he or she might look for someone willing to take over the lease payments. You can find lists of offerings on the Internet, where sites found at and act as brokerages where people looking for a lease assumption can see what’s on offer. The original lessee will sometimes offer a cash rebate, which effectively lowers the monthly payment on the vehicle.

The benefit of assuming a lease is that you save the up-front fees, such as a down payment and other “due at inception” fees. Bear in mind, though, that when you assume someone else’s lease you also assume their responsibilities. For instance, you’ll have to pay for any existing damage, “excess wear and tear,” or over-the-limit mileage charges at lease-end.

Tips for used-car leasing

  • If you are working with a dealer, bargain the price down as if you were buying the car.
  • Check that any warranty is comprehensive and lasts the duration of the lease.
  • Make sure you can live with the mileage limits spelled out in the lease contract. Over-limit miles can cost you as much as 25 cents each.
  • Check the vehicle’s history, which might reveal that it was in a major acci-dent, wrecked and salvaged, or had its odometer rolled back. Vehicle-history reports are available for about $20 (or unlimited reports for $25) from two companies, CarFax and Experian AutoCheck. Keep in mind, however, that a clean report doesn’t guarantee that a vehicle doesn’t have hidden problems.
  • Before signing the lease, have the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic, who can put it on a lift for a full diagnostic check.

Buying Second Hand Cars in Bacolod City

Buying second hand cars in Bacolod City is often a topic that comes up among expats who have moved to this area of the Philippines or who are thinking about it. There are many surplus vehicles made in this area of the Philippines from Japanese and/or Korean parts. The body of the vehicle is custom made here locally and they are usually the pickup truck style or a minivan style. However, I have seen replicas of a Rolls Royce, a BMW, monster pickup trucks, a dune buggy and two seater sports cars with the VW engine in the back. Nice!

We own a Suzuki Rusco pickup, which many refer to as a multi-cab. Ours is used on our farm in the Province, located south of Bacolod. P150,000 or about $3,600 U$D will put you behind the wheel of a surplus made multi-cab with a customized new body. The parts are cheap to replace on these vehicles and they are great for local driving.

Some people want a more traditional type vehicle, so I will share what I have discovered lately about the pricing of some models of second hand vehicles in Bacolod. These vehicles are all automatics, which are more expensive than the manual transmission vehicles. No, I don t own a car lot! These are not my cars for sale.

Buying a Used Car – Consumer Reports #used #car #search #engines

#buying a used car

Learn how to drive a fair deal and get a great pre-owned vehicle

Buying a used car is fraught with risk. Unlike a new car that is factory fresh and backed by an extensive warranty, used cars have typically been driven for thousands of miles over several years. Their usage and service histories can be a mystery, and there is always the concern that the car was traded in due to an emerging problem. But, by following a few key steps, you can survive the harrowing used-car buying adventures, while getting a great deal.

Where to shop for a used car

Who’s selling a used car can make as much of a difference to its quality as the make and model.

New-car dealers tend to sell late-model used cars (two- or three-years old) that often carry the remainder of the original factory warranty. Generally, dealer cars are higher quality due to age and their ability to readily make repairs.

Auto superstores have huge lots and scores of cars to sell. CarMax, auto malls, and rental-car sales lots sell numerous brands under the same roof and have their own large-scale reconditioning operations. They also put age, condition, and mileage limits on the cars they’ll sell.

Independent used-car dealerships are apt to handle any car make, and the vehicles can run the gamut from almost-new to junker-in-waiting. Favor the dealerships that have been around for a long time and have a good reputation locally.

Independent mechanics and body shops often have a sideline business selling a few used cars. They may not have a large selection, but it costs them little to fix cars up. That means their prices can be better than those you’ll find at a dealership.

Private owners may sell their cars for less, but there are limits. Businesses that sell cars required to offer some kind of warranty by law and have the expertise to spot problems. Private sellers can’t provide the same security. All the private transactions are assumed to be ‘as-is.’

#buying a car with bad credit

Buying a Car with Bad Credit – What NOT to Do

Don’t, and we mean don’t ever drive off the lot until your financing terms are set in stone. Drive your old clunker home or take the bus if the financing is not complete at day’s end.

One common shady practice dealers engage in is to let you leave the lot with a contract that isn’t final. In this underhanded routine, you sign a financing agreement “subject to final approval” rather than a binding deal. The dealer then lets you take possession as though you had a binding agreement.

You drive off happily in your new car, then get a phone call telling you that the financing wasn’t approved. You go back to the dealer and are then slapped with a much higher interest rate than you’d originally expected. This is a nasty trick. Don’t fall for it.

Don’t rely on verbal assurances. Many people, especially those with bad credit, are hustled by dealer finance managers who smooth over ugly parts of a finance contract.

One reader wrote to us to say that a dealer first tricked her into making her roommate a co-signer, then left the two with a loan for which the roomie was primary borrower (overextending the roommate’s credit, tangling her legally and ruining the friendship). All along, the dealer had told our reader that the roomie was not being listed as the primary borrower. These kind of things can happen to you easily if you take someone’s word at finance closing time.

Know the market. Don’t accept a finance contract without checking to see what the going interest rate is for your credit category. Dealers may try to psych you out by throwing out an extremely high interest rate number and insisting that’s the best they can do.

The truth is, they’re tacking on several points of interest onto the loan over what the bank offers, and pocketing the difference. And the more desperate you seem, the higher interest number they’re likely to quote. While a dealer will almost certainly add some additional interest to the loan, you don’t have to let them get away with financial murder.

To get a real-time snapshot of average car loan interest rates for your FICO score, use the loan calculator available at That way, you’ll have a good idea of whether the lender or dealer finance manager is in the ballpark.

Skip the extras. Don’t sign up for add-ons like extended warranties, GAP insurance or credit life policies. They generally aren’t worth what you paid for them. And no matter what the dealers tell you, you are not legally required to purchase them.

“The finance manager will state that these will only cost you an extra $5-20 per month, and that you’ll never miss it, but since you are paying interest on these rip-off insurances, it may cost you as much as $1,000 over the course of your loan,” says Richard Krawczyk, Ph.D. author of “Financial Aerobics – How to Get Your Finances into Shape.”

Make sure you know whether your loan interest is precalculated. In far too many cases, people with bad credit end up with a loan where the interest is pre-calculated. When loans have pre-calculated interest, your payments may go solely to interest for as much as one-half of the life of the entire loan.

Try to retire the loan early, even to refinance, and you may end up owing much more than you thought. Don’t get a rude shock — while you may be forced to take out such a loan, be very clear up front what you’re facing.

Watch out for penalties. Know whether there’s a prepayment penalty written into your contract.

Depending on how bad your credit is, you may want to go ahead and accept a loan that includes prepayment penalties. But be prepared: if you pay the loan off early, you may face an additional charge of $25 to $200. This may or may not be significant to you, but it’s best not to face any surprises at payoff time.

Buying Advice – Cars

Buying from a dealer means you are given legal protection. Dealers are legally obliged to sell cars of ‘satisfactory quality’, which basically means that apart from usual wear and tear, a used vehicle must be free from defects – except ones pointed out to you and those which should have been uncovered by an inspection (but only if one has been done) – and it must be in a roadworthy condition. The dealer must have legal title to the vehicle they are selling. And finally the dealer must describe the car accurately, e.g. a car cannot be advertised as having had one careful owner if it has actually had three.

When buying privately, as long as the car is accurately described, you have no legal comeback if there are faults with the car.

Reputable dealers should be members of a trade association, such as the Retail Motor Industry Federation or the Scottish Motor Trade Association, and be bound by its code of conduct.

Franchised outlets will usually have the pick of the best cars, and offer the most comprehensive warranties.

Manufacturers’ used approved schemes can take even more risk out of buying a used car. Apart from good sales service and car reliability, you can expect a full car history check, and quite often a free warranty. You can also usually part exchange your old car.

Car supermarkets

Independent car supermarkets have mushroomed in the last decade, offering high numbers of nearly-new and low-mileage used cars on massive sites. Prices tend to be attractive, but there is usually less room for haggling.

Options are limited and the stock usually consists of basic models, so if you’re looking for a rare car you’re unlikely to find it at a supermarket. They also rarely offer the after-sales support and warranty you’ll get from a dealer.

Buying privately

This is usually the cheapest option, but it really is ‘buyer beware’ with a private sale.

The seller’s only legal obligation is to describe the car accurately.

You need to watch out for unscrupulous sellers who may try to pretend to be a private seller to off-load sub-standard or stolen cars.

But don’t let this put you off. If you’re sensible, and do all the right checks, a fantastic deal could be waiting for you.

And you get to decide which one of each works best for you. It can also become a bit overwhelming. You may feel like you are being pulled in several directions. You d be surprised how much car hunting you can do from your computer. Your actual savings may vary based on multiple factors including the vehicle you select, region, dealer, and applicable vehicle specific manufacturer incentives which are subject to change. The Manufacturer s Suggested Retail Price ( MSRP ) is determined by the manufacturer, and may not reflect the price at which vehicles are generally sold in the dealer s trade area as not all vehicles are sold at MSRP. Trade-In Options for Your Used Car

1 of 4

Trading in an old car was once the Achilles’ heel of car buying, exposing owners to lowball offers and complicated negotiations. But happily, the process now can be more lucrative and user-friendly. From up-front price quotes to guaranteed trade-in values to car-buying consultants who handle the entire transaction via the Web, dealers are providing smoother transitions between your old car and your new one.

Shoppers love the convenience of trading in, since it completes all auto-related chores in one dealership visit. They avoid the headache of selling their old car and, as a bonus, the dealer handles all the DMV paperwork. And in some states, trading in can provide a break in sales tax. Our article, “What New Car Fees Should You Pay?” explains this in more detail.

But what if you were offered less than you expected for your car? Your best bet is to sell it yourself, but that takes time and perhaps more effort than you had in mind. Here are a few alternatives to trading in your used car at the dealership.

Before you begin exploring trade-in alternatives, you should have a baseline figure on what your car is worth. A good starting point to assess that worth is to use the Edmunds used-car appraisal tool. Also, check online classified ads and find cars comparable to the one you want to trade in. This helps establish your car’s current value. Remember that trade-in prices are lower than private-party and dealer retail prices.

Here’s a round-up of trade-in alternatives for consumers. We ranked them in alphabetical order:

AutoTrader’s Instant Trade-In Offer: Long known for used-car classifieds, the AutoTrader Web site now offers to appraise your trade-in. give you an up-front price and connect you with dealers. Input a few details about the car and then a few minutes later, you’ll get an e-mail with an estimated value. The site lists dealers who will either give you a check for your car or a value for trading it in on a new car. Restrictions apply, but it does present a stated price that might give you a greater sense of confidence before you go to a dealership.

Make sure you honestly answer the questions about the car’s condition level, because the offer is subject to change when the participating dealership sees the car. While it is nice to get an instant offer, the “instant” part only applies to the e-mail you get: It actually takes longer at the dealership than a typical trade-in appraisal. This is because the dealership will conduct its usual inspection and then has to input its findings in the AutoTrader tool to verify the figures.

AutoNation Direct: AutoNation Direct is the online arm of AutoNation, the country’s largest auto dealership chain. One of its car-buying consultants will appraise your car based on your description of its condition and other factors, such as mileage, and give you an up-front price. This removes the negotiating that car buyers dread. The entire transaction can be concluded at the car buyer’s home or office, including the trade-in. Here’s more about AutoNation Direct’s pricing system .

It’s important to understand that AutoNation Direct isn’t trying to distinguish itself by offering the best trade-in prices, says Simon Smith, its national sales director. The main benefit is what Smith calls a “protected buying experience” that is free from negotiating pressure. While hasn’t itself used the AutoNation Direct trade-in process, many car shoppers give the service high marks.

CarMax: This used-car superstore has more than 100 outlets in 27 states and promises, “We’ll buy your car even if you don’t buy ours.” Edmunds has used this service many times when selling long-term test cars and we’ve often been pleasantly surprised at the high prices CarMax has offered. Sometimes the used-car chain offers us less than we expected, but it at least gives us a guaranteed back-up plan and we can decide whether it is worth our time to try and improve on the offer. As one CarMax salesman once told us, “Our checks don’t bounce.”

Inspection takes about 30 minutes and the trade-in offer is good for seven days. Some customers have found that the best way to dispose of their old cars is to negotiate a deal for a new car elsewhere, then sell their old one to CarMax, where the prices are typically better than at a traditional dealership. Another effective strategy is to get the CarMax estimate and list the vehicle for about $1,000 over the CarMax offer in a free online classified. If the vehicle doesn’t sell in six days, you can take it back to CarMax and sell it there before the offer expires.

Factory Trade-In Programs: These alternatives are really for a future trade-in, not the current one. If you buy a new Subaru or Tesla, the car comes with a guaranteed trade-in price. For example, Subaru’s Guaranteed Trade-In Program states how much a Subaru dealer will give you for the car when you bring it back later as a trade-in. For some, this removes the doubt about the impact of depreciation. The buyers can, in a sense, see into the future and know what their new car will be worth as a trade-in. This trade-in price is available for six years.

If you finance your Model S electric vehicle purchase with Tesla (admittedly, a small pool of people), the company guarantees that the car will have “the top residual value of any high-volume premium sedan brand (Audi, BMW, Mercedes or Lexus)” after three years of ownership. Buyers will get a “resale value guarantee” letter shortly after they purchase the vehicle, according to Tesla. The method to calculate the value and to cash in the offer is somewhat complicated and is outlined on the Tesla Web site.

#book value of cars

Kelley Blue Book Value Information – This is the book most people go for when they want to learn a vehicle’s market value, both financed and cash.

It’s the vehicle’s present value, which is the cost minus the accrued devaluation (devaluation meaning the drop in a vehicle’s useful life because of its use. Companies will use the book value to come up with a price that recovers the cost of the vehicle.

Many people who shop on the Internet for their vehicles feel they are better deals to be had. For the most part, they are right. It’s much easier to apply and get an auto loan through the Internet. However, reality in this thinking is that Internet vehicle shoppers can get lots of information about the vehicle blue book values and hard to find invoice prices from years before. Oftentimes, these shoppers can get a better deal because of the knowledge they possess especially when they’re trying to get an auto loan.

It doesn’t have to be a stressful time – buying a vehicle. All you need to do is some your research and go to the dealership prepared to make the whole experience much better for you. When you do this, you save yourself a lot of time and grief. Plus, most dealers who have been in business for many years will know when someone is telling them the truth about knowing a vehicle’s book value. +

You might be wondering which book you need to look at when determining what a vehicle’s actual value is. Well, the best idea is to use both. The KBB book will list vehicle’s makes and models a little higher than what you see in the NADA book. So, using both means you can get a less biased and better feeling for the present market trends.

It’s important to note that the book value is only a tool to determine what your present vehicle’s value is. It’s not set completely in stone. Your car is only worth what somebody wants to pay for it right now or how much you want to finance the vehicle for. Both books are just guidelines to help you accurately figure out the price of your vehicle; it doesn’t matter what kind of vehicle it is.

Best-selling cars 2014

We run down the UK s favourite cars of 2014: here are the top 10 best-selling cars of the year

At Auto Express we test every new car that goes on sale in the UK but ultimately it’s you, the car buying public, who are the final arbitors of whether a car succeeds or fails. The top 10 best-selling cars in the UK in 2014 were all success stories in their own right. Scroll down the page for the official Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders list in full.

Of course, some small-volume cars, like sports cars or dedicated off-roaders, won’t sell as many units in a year as these ten top bestsellers do in a single month. They have different targets but it’s still all about sales in the end: each car maker obviously wants to sell as many of each model it makes as it possibly can.

Supercars, luxury saloons and large SUVs are missing from the top 10 – the buying public in the UK was clearly very fond of hatchbacks and superminis  in 2014. The spread of cars included a few other bodystyles, though.

With the usual superminis and family hatchbacks supplemented by a city car. crossover SUVs and a premium hatchback, the top 10 bestsellers reflect both the increasingly diversified product ranges offered by manufacturers and the UK public’s broadening tastes.

The top 10 best-selling cars in 2014

1. Ford Fiesta – 131,254  registrations in 2014

The leading car in the supermini segment, Ford’s Fiesta was also the top-selling car in the UK. Ford’s finest manages to tick the practicality and economy boxes that are so crucial for any small car but it’s also a blast to drive, whether you opt for the entry-level version or the Fiesta ST hot hatch.

Alongside the Fiesta, the Focus is the powerhouse of the Ford range. It’s big enough to cope with the demands of family life but sufficiently compact to keep running costs to a minimum. As we’ve come to expect from modern Fords, the driving experience is first class and the Focus is about to get a styling refresh that should enhance its appeal further.

The new Vauxhall Corsa  is the best yet, offering plenty of practicality, quality and low running costs without a high price tag. It’s the closest yet to the Fiesta in terms of driving enjoyment, too. That’s clearly a winning formula: it was the third-highest-selling car in 2014.

The Volkswagen Golf is a thoroughly impressive family hatchback. It has a high quality feel that none of its mainstream rivals can match and the potential to pinch sales from premium hatches in the class above. Brilliantly-judged suspension, high-tech turbocharged engines and that classy VW image all count in its favour.

Vauxhall’s long-time rival for the Ford Focus continues to hold its place in the sales charts. The Astra  is a big, comfortable car for the family hatch class with attractive styling that’s shown-off best by the coupe-like GTC versions.

We have the Qashqai  to thank for kick-starting the current crossover SUV boom. By taking compact 4×4 looks and high-riding practicality then marrying the to the polished driving dynamics of a conventional car, the Qashqai has proved a sales sensation for Nissan. The second-generation model launched in 2013.

The Polo  is, to all intents and purposes, the junior Golf and it mirrors the qualities of its big brother in the smaller supermini segment. Despite its compact dimensions, the Polo has that highly prized ‘big car feel’ in spades. It’s pricier than its direct rivals but that doesn’t seem to be deterring buyers.

The Audi A3  uses the same platform and many of the same engines as the Volkswagen Golf but flexes its premium brand muscles to command higher prices. It’s a tactic that’s clearly working, however, because the A3 has muscled its way into the top 10 best sellers in the country.

Fiat hasn’t been having the best of times recently but the 500 city car is a big, retro ray of light for the company. Such is the 500’s sales success that Fiat has expanded the family to include MPVs and hot Abarth versions. It might not be the most technically adept city car but people just love the way it looks.

The Mk6 VW Golf GTI is our used sports car of the year 2015

in association with

Price from:   £9,000

Our pick: GTI three-door manual, 51,000 miles £11,980

The previous-generation Volkswagen Golf GTI is a tempting choice, with prices starting to fall since the arrival of the Mk7 model. It’s a development of the Mk5 GTI, which reinstated VW’s pioneering performance car as a force to be reckoned with in the hot hatch class.

The punchy 2.0-litre TSI petrol turbo was treated to a power boost of 10bhp, taking the total to 207bhp. Plus there’s plenty of mid-range torque, making the GTI great for overtaking. Furthermore, the agile chassis ensures it’s entertaining through corners.

Revisions to the suspension meant that the larger 18-inch alloy wheel options on the sixth-generation car delivered a better ride than with its predecessor – which is a bonus, as they look better than the standard 17s.

You can pick up a Mk6 Golf GTI for as little as £9,000, for a well kept car with fewer than 100,000 miles on the clock. Spend a little more, and there are some excellent models to choose from. Pick from three or five doors and six-speed manual or DSG gearboxes, while later examples from 2012 onwards featured leather trim as standard and the LED tail-lights from the Golf R. We’d also choose white or red paint to help the GTI stand out from the rest of the Golf range.

Around £12,000 is enough for an average-mileage three-door manual example. Add another £2,000, and you can get your hands on a limited-run Edition 35 anniversary model with exclusive wheels and extra kit.

Commended:  Porsche Boxster Mk2

Use a Bill of Sale if:

Sample Bill of Sale

More than just a template, our step-by-step interview process makes it easy to create a Bill of Sale

Bill of Sale Basics

When you’re transferring goods to a buyer, a bill of sale form is the easiest way to make it legal. But just because a bill of sale is a fairly straightforward legal document doesn’t mean you shouldn’t know a few things before you start.

When you shouldn’t use a Bill of Sale

For real estate: If you’re planning on transferring real estate property, you can’t use a bill of sale form. Real estate transactions are simply much more complicated and require different forms, such as a quit claim deed, or forms available only from your state or local government. Consult with a real estate attorney or real estate agent if you’re looking to transfer this kind of property.

For services: A bill of sale should be used when transferring goods, not when performing services. If services are involved (such as woodworking, babysitting, business consulting, etc.), it’s a better idea to use a general contract for services.

For small sales: This is a matter of personal preference, but most people do not feel it necessary to use a bill of sale when transferring cheaper property. If you’re selling a used guitar, a bill of sale makes a lot of sense. If you’re selling a couple old fishing lures, it might be more trouble than it’s worth.

Specific types of Bills of Sale

For certain items or classes of property, you’ll need to use a specific bill of sale. That’s because those bills of sale will contain information required to make the sale legal. Here are a few of those types of bills of sale, all of which we provide.

Car bill of sale Used car sales between two parties are incredibly common, but you can’t use any bill of sale to transfer the ownership of a car. That’s because a car bill of sale has specific information you need to provide to actually purchase (or sell) an automobile. For example, to legally sell a car, you’ll need to let the buyer know the VIN number, the make and model of the car, the odometer reader, and whether or not that car is under any sort of warranty. Failure to provide that information can actually void the sale of the car.

A motorcycle bill of sale will contain nearly all that information as well. Omitting any of those details can likewise void the sale.

Boat bill of sale Like a car bill of sale, a boat bill of sale contains information about the make, model, year, price, and valid warranty of the watercraft in question. But unlike a car, a boat has what’s called a HIN (this stands for hull identification number.) Like a VIN, it’s unique to each boat and is used by government agencies in keeping track of the ownership chain.

Benefits of a Bill of Sale Form

A bill of sale helps the transfer of property go smoothly for both buyers and sellers.

Taxes: as a seller, you may need to report the sale amount as part of your tax documents or for business accounting purposes.

As-Is: indicating on a bill of sale that you have sold property “as is” protects you as a seller if the buyer encounters problems with the item after purchase. For example, if a person buys an automobile from you and it breaks down after he or she drives away, you are not responsible for the repairs or damages.

Transfer of Ownership: a bill of sale also documents when the item was transferred to a new owner, which can be critical in certain cases. For example, if someone buys a gun from you and the gun is then used to commit a crime, a signed bill of sale form may be used as supportive evidence that you were not the owner of the firearm at the time of the crime.

Proof of Ownership: as a buyer, a bill of sale provides proof of ownership, allowing others to verify your rights to property. Whether registering a motorcycle at the DMV or totaling the value of your assets for a bank loan, the document serves as required proof of ownership.

Date of Ownership: other benefits include documentation of the date that you became owner of an item, preventing disputes about when the property was transferred. The value of the property as agreed on by buyers and sellers is also included on a bill of sale form, limiting conflict over how much was paid or received and/or when payment(s) were made.

Best electric car for kids reviews

Electric cars for kids – What to look for:

When you’re a parent who wants to give their child a perfect way to experience being an adult, getting one of the top ten electric cars for kids will surely help you earn brownie points from your precious one. Imagine the big grin and youthful delight you’ll get treated to when you present your child with a new electric car for kids on their birthday.

Model and Features

The models of highest rated electric cars for kids deserve a showroom just like adult cars do. It helps to have a pretty good idea what type you will be getting. Will it be outdoor or indoor type? The most popular units are outdoor types since they really give that feeling of freedom that a child deserves. Road cars have replicas too, and these include Porsches, Aston Martins, BMWs, Ferraris, Audi TTs and plenty more. Stylish and chic, such cars can give plenty of backyard play. Rugged models include Jeeps, Hummers or Ford Mustangs. Your child will surely enjoy being able to use forward and reverse gears, a side view mirror, a key start, a foot accelerator, a car horn, steering and fully working lights on his car, so check out models that carry those features. The decals, if any, should be as authentic as possible.

Safety provisions

The best play car for the money should incorporate safety features in the package. Even if your child just uses the electric car in your backyard, sudden bumps may cause him to topple from his seat. Teach him about safety this early by ensuring that the toy car has a seat belt. Make sure that the seats are well attached to their bases. The seat should enable your child to see where he’s going, built at just the right height. The components of the toy car should carry no toxic paint, sharp edges or corners. Remember that the unit is still pretty much a toy, so it should be manufactured under the same standards that all children’s toys are made. Most importantly, the product should include a fully functional parental remote control in order to ensure guidance and safe play at all times.

Which electric car for kids is the best? Ask any child that question and battery life is sure to come up one way or the other. Ideally, the car should give around 2 hours of driving on flat terrain on the average. That’s for a single charge. It is best to follow the manufacturer’s recommendation on charging the car’s battery. The car’s craftsmanship should be sturdy for a toy of this type. Any assembly to be done must be minimal at most. The car itself should not require too much maintenance when used according to manufacturer’s recommendations and kept in good condition. A warranty would be nice, as the cost of replacing parts can be quite expensive. The motor or battery is the element that generally requires maintenance, repair or replacement.

Never want to visit a petrol station again? Here are the best electric cars to buy in 2015

Motorists are always going to be keen to keep costs as low as possible – but in the past, there just wasn’t much choice when it came to fuel – you’d always have to visit a petrol station sooner or later. Now though, more electric charging stations across the UK and cheaper electric cars mean that plug-in models are attracting a lot of attention.

Big brands such as Nissan. Renault and BMW  have all taken the plunge and released fully electric cars – and some are really rather impressive. Tesla. MINI. Volkswagen. Smart. Mitsubishi. Citroen and Peugeot are just some of the other electric car makers, with the market getting bigger all the time.

So which ones are the best? We’ve put together a list of our favourite electric cars here, to help you decide which one is right for you.

Most buyers will be better off with a hybrid, plug-in hybrid or range-extender – but here we’ve only listed cars that run on electricity only. Of course that means there’s no internal combustion engine noise – or petrol station trips – ever.

Where are the Best Car Deals 2015?

Until the last few years, the best way to get a great car deal was to work hard for it by haggling with stubborn dealer salespeople. With plenty of luck, careful preparation,  and a heap of negotiating skill, you might get a good deal.

You would increase your chances of getting a good deal if you knew the best time of day/month/year to buy, knew dealer invoice prices and holdbacks, and had good bargaining savvy— and possessed the stamina for long stressful haggling sessions with dealer salespeople who would try every trick in the book to wear you down — not a pleasant experience for many people. Most people hate it and don t look forward to it.

It s not that haggling still isn t necessary. It is in many cases. But the best car deals don t happen that way anymore. Things have changed. The best deals are actually given to you — without hagglingby major car companies in partnership with their dealers.

Car manufacturers, in these challenging economic times, are hungry for your business and are willing to offer ready-made deals that were offered much less frequently in the past. These are deals that buyers could not possibly negotiate for themselves — because dealers are not capable of making the kind of concessions that their deep-pockets parent car companies can make. You could haggle with a car dealer all day and all night and he still wouldn t be able to give you large price discounts, rebates, bonuses, 0% APR loans, or give you special subsidized leases, if he didn t have help from his parent car company.

Bentley Cars – New & Used Bentley Reviews, Pricing & Specs #lotus #cars

#bentley cars

Bentley Cars

Bentley Motors Limited, best known as Bentley, is a British manufacturer founded in January 1919 by Walter Owen “W.O” Bentley. The inspiration for the Bentley motor actually began years before its official birth. W.O was passionate about racing and speed. In 1912, he raced in the Aston-Clinton hill-climb and broke the class record. On a visit to the DFP factory, he noticed an aluminum piston being used as a paper weight. Converting the light weight material to act as functioning pistons in Bentley Motors would be the secret to successive victories in famed racing events.

Bentley Origins

In 1919, W.O. finally made his dream a reality when he created a car that satisfied his need for speed. In October 1919, the first Bentley three-liter engine was created. After the invention of the first engine, Bentley enjoyed nearly a decade of uninterrupted success in world-renowned races including consecutive victories at Le Mans from 1927 to 1930. Fresh off a number of amazing victories on the track, Bentley began feeling the pains of the oncoming Great Depression. Rolls-Royce purchased the financially-ailing company and moved production to Derby soon after.

Bentley After World War II

Bentley created some of the most celebrated classic cars in history from the Mark IV to the Continental. However, that is not to say the company never hit a rough patch as many consider it a miracle that Bentley survived the post-war years.

Bentley acted as a wing of the Rolls-Royce name for many years before again making a name of its own. For a time there was little difference between the inner working of the two vehicles. This pattern of cloning cars continued and hit its peak in the 1970s when car enthusiasts couldn’t find the difference between the newer Bentleys and any other mass-produced vehicle other than the marquis “B” on the hood and because of this sales plummeted.

Other than the name itself, there was little left that maintained this vehicle’s spot as a premier luxury and sports car. Rolls-Royce had done little if anything to market or manufacture this line of vehicle to a degree worthy of Bentley’s past. However, that changed with one last spark of engineering and marketing know-how that became a fire with the introduction of the 1980 Bentley Mulsanne.

Mulsanne was named for the longest stretch of Le Mans, where Bentley caught people’s attention and the name Bentley reigned supreme for years. Sales took off, and the 1982 Mulsanne model had all of the comfort and smoothness of any Rolls-Royce. More amazingly, at 4,850 pounds it was faster than the Daimler Double Six, Aston Martin Lagonda, and even the Ferrari 365GT4.

Bentley was again its former self, and has since stuck to its roots expecting performance and function to go hand-in-hand with luxury in every model the company produced.

Bentley Models

Some of the unique and superbly engineered luxury and performance vehicles you will find on the road today include the Continental Supersport, GT, GTC, Spur, and the ultra-luxurious Mulsanne.

For a look back, in 2003, Bentley introduced the Azure, a two-door convertible and the Continental GT, a large luxury coupe with a W12 engine. Four-door versions of each model came soon after. The Flying Spur was a four-door version of the Continental GT. In 2006 the four-door version of the Azure was patterned after the Arnage Drophead Coupe prototype. Also launching that year was the Continental GTC, a convertible version of the successful Continental GT.

Bentley in America

Today, Bentley is owned by Volkswagen and is considered one of the premier luxury brands in the United States and around the world. Even though Bentley is owned by the Volkswagen corporation it operates as a singular and independent car maker refusing to fall again into the pattern of vehicles mimicking a parent company’s models. Bentley is considered to be within the top names in luxury and performance.

With all the refinement and technology that comes in a Bentley its no surprise it’s expensive to purchase, maintain or even fuel up. Bentley is also known for providing luxury and comfort. You also get the satisfaction of a little taste of history since the first Bentley broke records at the Le Mans. Whether it’s the one-of-a-kind Mulsanne or the Supersport, there is nothing on the road as powerful and beautiful as a Bentley.
