Mercedes-Benz India formally inaugurated its new manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune in February 2009. The new facility was completed within 13 months from the start of construction — among the fastest green-field projects to be created. With an area of 100 acres of land and independent assembly facilities for passenger cars and commercial vehicles, the infrastructure was created to address future expansion needs, underscoring the long-term growth plans of the company in India. While the plant was designed to manufacture the current local production portfolio of the Mercedes-Benz C-, E-, and S-Class, it is also flexible enough to accommodate additional production of other models from the Mercedes-Benz model range on the same assembly line, if required by future market demand.

CSR activity:

In August 2003, DaimlerChrysler India with Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI) and the University of Hohenheim as partners started ”The Jatropha Biodiesel Project”. The project is partly funded by DEG (Deutsche Investitions Entwicklungsgesellschaft). Since 2004, the Jatropha Biodiesel has generated community-wide support and interest towards alternate energy and Biodiesel. The project also included field-tests with Mercedes-Benz cars powered by pure (unblended) Biodiesel across nine states in India in 2004. This was followed by the cold weather high altitude tests of the Biodiesel cars across KhardungLa- the highest motorable road in the world and also across the frozen Himalayan terrains in 2005.

While we don’t believe in timing the stock market, timing your big purchases in life can save you hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars. That’s especially true if you’re in the market to buy a new car. If you’re patient, you can score a great deal on a new car.

Buy at the end of the year

Every dealer has annual quotas and there are bonuses for salespeople who meet certain annual figures. Take advantage of this. If you can wait, buy your new car in the last two weeks of December, when dealers are dying to beat their quotas. Annual sales bonuses are sometimes incentive enough for dealers to knock off up to $3,000 from the price.

Dealers have the added incentive of clearing last year’s models to make way for the new year models. If you don’t need the latest and greatest, you can find a great deal on a car that’s only a few months old. Unless there’s a major redesign on the model you want, the small difference between this year’s and last year’s model isn’t as significant as the price difference.

If you can’t wait until the end of the year

Some buyers can’t wait until the end of the year. Don’t worry. There are opportune buying times year-round.

End of the quarter/month: Just like at the end of the year, dealers get bonuses for reaching sales quotas each month and quarter. If you can find a dealer who’s just short of his goal, you’re bound to get a good deal if you negotiate. Start searching in the last week of the month.

End of the model year: As I mentioned previously, dealers want to clear lot space for the new model year. New cars usually start shipping around late summer or early fall, but some models start their new year as early as spring. Do your research and find out when the new model is released.

When no one else is shopping: You want to avoid going to dealers when they’ve got lots of buyers. Try not to go in the spring when the weather is starting to warm up and people just received their tax refunds. Avoid the weekends, too. Figure out what you want before, and go to the dealer on a rainy or snowy day. These days are typically slow for car dealers, and they’ll be more willing to work with you on price.

Don’t buy before you know what you want

Knowing exactly what you want, and more importantly what you won’t pay extra for, will help you when you’re sitting down to negotiate price with the salesman. If you saw a model on the lot that has everything you need and nothing you don’t, ask about it. If it’s unavailable, ask if there’s a similar model on the lot.

Don’t pay extra for something you don’t want. If they don’t have a model that fits your bill, ask the salesperson if he can special order it for you. Be sure to ask how long it will take before you can see it. Chances are the salesperson will throw in the extras you don’t want for free just to make the sale that day.

Hit the road

The best time to buy a new car is when the dealer is willing to negotiate and you’ve got more leverage. But you have to be a good negotiator. Don’t be afraid to hit the road without a new car if the salesperson isn’t giving you the price you want. There are other dealers in town, and be sure to remind him of that fact. If you can get two dealers bidding against one another, they’ll negotiate for you.

There’s always a car buyers’ market around the corner. Use that to your advantage to save thousands of dollars.

So it s been a month since I bought my 2010 versa! And I love my car! I spent a lot of time trying to find the right car for me and when I went to max world I wasn t disappointed. The staff was amazing and never made me feel pressured to buy from them. Before going there I looked up reviews on yelp and they were the only place to receive a 5 star rating so I just knew I had to go. I will be buying all my future cars from max world. They have made a lifetime client out of me!!

They sell bad quality of cars and swear they are great. I got my personal mechanic to check one of their cars who specializes in that brand and he told me it s trash on wheels.  Don t waste your money unless you have money to waste.

Just want to update, my sister has had her Outlander for 4 months and drives it throughout Northeast Queens and Nassau County.  The car has performed GREAT!  We did have a few issues early on, the wheel drums weren t in very good shape.  We took the car back to Max and the issue was resolved at no charge.

I would definitely recommend!

Not sure if this place is real. used car dealership without the bs?

Working with a limited budget of $7k we hit all the usual suspects on Northern. we were told that with our budget it was impossible.

We wanted to avoid debt but were feeling dejected thinking it was our only option.  On a whim, we crossed the street from Paragon to Max Autoworld.  No gimmicks, no lies, we were shown a couple of options an invite to test drive.  I can honestly say that working with Grace was a pleasure!

We have a deposit down on a Mitsubishi Outlander and will head back with our mechanic (to check it out) to close the deal next week.  I will update once we ve had the car for a few months but so far this has been a pleasure!  Thank you Max Autoworld for not being sleazy and treating u with respect!
